The technician and owner, Mike, cleaned and inspected our chimney last fall (2019) and did the best job anyone has done in the 25 years I have lived in Saint Louis. I waited to give a review until after the burning season was definitely over to see how things would go, and am nothing but pleased–the chimney stayed clean and the stove (a huge Buck) burned well through more than 100 fires (I kept count this winter). His price is reasonable, he himself is agile and thorough, and he works quickly while being thorough. Personally he is both professional and convivial. His attention to detail is impressive–there are five unusual things about my stove and chimney which need to be tended to, I forgot to point these out to him until he was almost finished, and discovered he had seen all of these quirks on his own and had addressed them. I give him the highest recommendation. How refreshing it is to come across a service technician who is young but has an old-fashioned work ethic and sense of professionalism.
I have a rental that needed a city inspection. The tenant was moving in two days and Gateway Chimney was gracious enough to squeeze my condo in for a cleaning. Great customer service and you would be supporting a family business. Great and honest work and I really felt important as a customer. Highly recommend!
Our fireplace sparkled after they were done. The guy that came out was nice, very knowledgable and not creepy at all. The only drawback was that I had to wait a few weeks for them to have any available appointments. Well worth the wait though.
Found these guys here on yelp. Very professional, got me in within 2 days. The project turned out to be much bigger than expected, but Mike was able to get it all taken care of in one day. I would highly recommend them for anything. I couldn’t be happier.
